Pashmina and cashmere are legendary for being soft, lightweight and warm. These two are considered as one of the most expensive pieces of clothing considering its efficient process of manufacturing and pure quality material used to manufacture it.
The difference between pashmina and cashmere is that pashmina fibers are finer and thinner (12–15 microns) than generic cashmere fiber (15–19 microns). In the case of pashmina wool, obtained from the hair of matured Capra hircus Himalayan mountain goat living at an altitude of 12000 ft to 14000 ft. and cashmere wool is obtained from the undercoat of magnolia goats.
